Success stories
Our adoption journey began like so many others do. We tried to conceive for 4 years before the doctor told us that invetro-fertilization was our only option. Our daughter Emilee was finally conceived via IVF and born in 2001. We were content with our happy healthy daughter.
As soon as my husband Barry and I were married we started trying to have a family. I always dreamed of one day being a mom and I assumed it would happen quickly when I was ready. After 4 years of trying and several miscarriages, we still had not become parents.
Dear Family and Friends,
As I sit here and think how wonderful and blessed we all are, I can almost cry for the joy that is in our hearts. As you all know, almost a year ago Chris and I decided to adopt a child. Chris left for Taiwan on December 2nd and arrived home with our Angel, Jia-Jiun, last Saturday
It was a Saturday in January. I was out in the garage. My husband Gary, came out; I could tell he had something on his mind. After a few minutes he said to me, “You know, we are truly blessed.” I acknowledged this fact and sat down on a stepladder to hear what he had to say. “I want to give something back.” he said.
I wanted a baby for as long as I can remember.
Since I was 16 years of age I had thought about adopting a child. Finally , December 24 I decided I was going to adopt. I tried a private adoption first from Panama . It did not work out because of the attorney who was doing it. One day I was browsing the sites with the adoption information.
Our story is pretty amazing to me. It's hard for me to believe that it's all over and we have our son with us!!!
I, like so many women, had problems getting pregnant. Our first child was with fertility drugs and our second was with IVF and the third was a wonderful surprise. We still felt our hearts were empty. We thought about adoption. The Lord had blessed us three times before and now he was working on our hearts for number four. This time we wanted to give a home to a child that didn't have one. Our adoption was amazing! We decided to adopt July 4 th and we brought him home Christmas eve. What an awesome gift!...read more
My husband, Richard, and I got back from Russia with our children, Sasha, age 5 yrs., and Palina, age 2 yrs., on October 14th. I've had so many people contact me asking about my experience with Faithful Adoptions that I decided to post an open letter for all to see.
I can tell you from my personal experience that the staff at Faithful are dedicated professionals. Even though the agency itself is still in its fledgling state, the staff bring with them plenty of prior experience and expertise. Since we actually began with a different agency, I have a real reference for comparison. read more
My adoption was overseen by Olga Grunberger . From the moment Olga and I made contact she kept me informed of all the steps that I had to complete in order to become a "mama". Mama, what a wonderful word that has become to me. In my 37 years, "mama" was/is the most rewarding sound I've ever heard whispered from a child, our child. I will never grow tired of Zoya's miraculous voice, even when I'm exhausted from my days and nights with our new life together. read more
Our little boy, Logan, now six, had been asking for a brother his age or younger since he could talk. My husband and I, waiting until the eleventh hour in my life to have my first child (I was 39 when I had Logan), were quite content with just Logan. But he got us thinking…and talking to other people…other people suggested adoption. At first, we thought, no.Then, we started thinking more about it, talking to other people, and I became interested enough to do some searching on the Internet. We looked at some agencies doing Russian adoptions, talked to some other couples who had completed Russian adoptions and read more
Love, laughter, joy, excitement, anticipation, and satisfaction... these are just a few of the many emotions we felt as reality set in that the adoption of our little boy was finally a reality. Realistically, in a matter of 6 months, our dream of adding a son and a brother for our daughters to our family had come true. There are no words to express the joy that our little boy has brought to our immediate family and to our extended family far and wide throughout the U.S. There are no other words to describe this experience but as a "blessing from God".read more
